Training Course Description

We will allow you to create a community to share your experiences and exchange with other students and alumni. We will also provide you with all the necessary support throughout your training.
In order for the quality of your work to be recognised and appreciated in your future career, we ensure that you are taught the best techniques and above all that you acquire the know-how and interpersonal skills required for the job of housekeeper/nanny.
Our training method is based on our experience, interactivity, sharing and conviviality.
The Morgan Mallet School Housekeeper/Nanny Training is a curriculum designed to help candidates learn how to effectively manage their future life as a housekeeper/nanny in a VIP family and luxury property. It is a comprehensive programme that covers many aspects of managing the upkeep of a property, chateau, villa, chalet, mansion or large luxury flat and managing children in their development and education.
The housekeeper/nanny training starts with an assessment of the future housekeeper/nanny’s current situation with our training officer. This includes an assessment of the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as communication and problem-solving skills. During this assessment, the candidate and the trainer will also discuss their goals and motivations. This is an important step in the process as it allows the candidate and our trainers to identify the skill areas to be developed and to create a suitable training plan.
The next step in the Housekeeper/Nanny training process is to create the application form (training agreement) and funding for the training. Our training officer will accompany you through these steps. See details below.
The third step of the process is the training course which consists of helping and accompanying the future housekeeper/nanny to develop skills during the 12 and a half days with two Morgan Mallet School trainers. See programme below.
Finally, the training process of the housekeeper/nanny ends with a review of the student’s progress. During this phase, the future housekeeper/Nanny will discuss the successes and achievements they have made since the beginning of the training. This is the perfect time to celebrate the student’s achievements.

Course and content of the training

  • 12 days over 3 consecutive weeks 
  • Arrival on Monday
  • Training from Tuesday to Saturday
  • Sunday off
  • Training Monday to Friday

Students are accommodated in the villa for the duration of the training
1/2 day preparation for the recruitment interview/presentation of the vacancies (8 days after the training) 100 hours of training in total

  2. Linen management training module
  3. Housekeeping training module 
  4. Training module for brass and silverware care – Hand cleaning of fragile dishes (crystal, porcelain, etc.) 
  5. Training module on organic cleaning techniques 
  6. Training module for managing external service providers
  7. Training module on floral decoration and plant care
  8. Training module on the knowledge of cleaning equipment
  9. Training module for managing a dressing room 
  10. Training module for respecting hygiene rules 
  11. Training module for table setting and service
  12. Training module for budget management, restocking and storage of products 
  13. Training module for taking care of pets
  14. Training module for domestic staff skills and know-how
  15. Training module for cooking, meal preparation and food shopping
  16. Training module for property security and guarding
  17. Mastering one’s environment and that of the child
  18. Mastering the basics of teaching children and encouraging their development 
  19. Learn safety rules and supervision

  22. Organisation of an informal lunch in a situation (service and table setting)
  23. Organisation of a formal dinner (service and table setting)

Pre-requisites for the training

The following are the prerequisites for participating in the domestic worker/nanny training:
  • Be of age
  • No criminal record 
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Love of children
  • Discretion, loyalty, honesty 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adaptability, availability, flexibility 
  • Attention to detail, meticulous 
  • Sense of service, duty
  • Attractive to various tasks related to the running of a property
  • Interest in cooking
  • Ability to evolve within a demanding environment 
Your application for the training course will be validated through the following steps:
  1. Preliminary interview with the training officer – 20 minutes
  2. Interview with the trainers – 15 minutes
  3. Sending your complete profile presentation
  4. Your criminal record of less than three months
  5. An identity document
After the interviews and the reception of your application file, our teams will confirm your adhesion to our training course and will propose you several dates of sessions to participate.

Payment condition

You can pay for the entire course by bank transfer only, our team will provide you with our bank details. Immediate payment before the course is required. (30% deposit at the time of booking and 70% of the total payment one week before the start of the course).

Training Rate

The fee includes :
  • 12 days of face-to-face training from 9am to 5pm from Tuesday to Saturday the first week, from Monday to Friday the second week and from Monday to Tuesday the third week
  • 1/2 day of training on writing a quality CV and a job interview simulation/coaching session with a Morgan & Mallet International recruitment officer to prepare you for your future applications and job searches 
  • Session with a maximum of 5 students 
  • Two trainers at your disposal
  • A training officer to assist you from A to Z in putting together your training file (financing, training agreement, delivery of training certificate, diploma, post-training follow-up, etc.)
  • Free accommodation in the Villa Noumade during the course (private room + bathroom) – sheets and towels included (for people living in the Bordeaux area, accommodation on site is not compulsory)
  • Food offered (breakfast and lunch only during the course, on Sunday (day of rest) all meals are your responsibility) – please indicate if you have any food intolerances or allergies before your arrival 
  • A welcome drink (petit fours and soft drinks) with all students and trainers 
  • Two free Morgan Mallet School uniforms
  • Delivery of the training booklet with the complete training schedule, courses, exercises, MCQs, results of the controls and tests
  • The Morgan Mallet School diploma and certificate
  • Free airport or train station transfer for your arrival and departure from Bordeaux if needed
  • One car or motorbike parking space inside (secure parking)
  • Several proposed activities on Sundays during your day off 
  • A follow-up of your professional career after the training with Mrs Anne Brisson, training officer

The price of the luxury housekeeping training course is 3 490 euros excluding VAT.

The job market for domestic/nanny workers is doing very well as there is a very high demand in Europe.

  • 3,000 net per month at the end of the career (full-time) + company accommodation offered in certain cases

Housekeeper/Nanny Job Description

A domestic/nanny is a person who is responsible for the care, education and focus of a family’s children and the cleaning and maintenance of an upmarket property. These employees are usually employed by HNW or UHNW families.
Housekeepers/nannies are responsible for a variety of tasks related to the cleaning and maintenance of a house. This includes sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing and scrubbing all surfaces.
This person is also responsible for the care and supervision of children in the absence and even during the presence of the parents, depending on the situation. He/she will be responsible for the physical and mental development of the children through play or external activities.
They may also be responsible for cleaning and organising the cupboards. Domestic workers may also be responsible for laundry, including hand washing, drying, folding and ironing clothes. They may also be asked to carry out minor repairs such as fixing broken items or changing light bulbs.
In addition to cleaning, housekeepers/nannies may also be asked to prepare meals and do shopping according to allergies and recommendations for children.
Housekeepers/nannies must be able to work independently, as they are responsible for a multitude of tasks without direct supervision. They must also be able to follow instructions and take initiative with the family and within the property.
